Robert Strashun MD FAAP St. Louis, MO: "Missed opportunities occur no matter how good you are about schedule review. CompuKID’s rules-based immunization scheduling system is an incredible tool to prevent this during well-child and acute care visits. CompuKID is comprehensive and very easy to use. Once you use it you will never want to return to paper charts again. It will help prevent immunization scheduling errors (missed opportunities and rule violations) on the very first day. It will cause you to practice better medicine, and have the documentation to prove it. I would not work without it and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Tech-support is topnotch! Nochum Indich, MD, FAAP, Lakewood, NJ: “Dear All, after many years in group practice I went on my own Jan.99. I checked out computerized products as best as I could and decided to use CompuKID, a program made for pediatrics. It is very reasonably priced, the tech help is excellent, and it can be linked with practice management. CompuKID uses wireless Windows-CE handhelds (NEC 880) with a touch screen. You carry it from room to room as you see patients. It is preprogrammed with phrases that can be entered with a single touch of the screen. It is also programmable with your own key phrases. What it does with immunizations is amazing. The office can be made nearly paperless. Check it out! They are great people.” Kenneth Hirsch MD FAAP Moorestown, NJ: “CompuKID makes everyone's life a whole lot easier. Parents are comforted knowing that there children's charts are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. More information is being documented in the charts now, as compared to when I used paper charts, especially phone calls at night. My only reservation has been that I'm always looking for a pen to write with. I'd highly recommend CompuKID to anyone who is considering either converting to a paperless office or for those starting a new practice. The tech support has been excellent.” Dimas De Jesus Rosa Salazar MD - Bogota, Colombia: 1) "Your CompuKID is wonderful. Today I made my first visit "on live" with CompuKID. Was very easy with your instructions. I'm learning yet." 2) 7/23/98: And other big, big, BIG, congratulations for the 4.2 release, the innovations, ... I liked, I liked. Steven Dannenfelser MD FAAP - Forest Hill, MD: You guys are great, what can I say!! Wendy Frieling MD FAAP - Sparta, NJ (former) Assistant Professor of Pediatrics Univ of Vermont, Medical Director for e-MedRecords and in private practice: "The computer is saving time by avoiding the need to dictate charts. My nurses no longer complete school immunization forms manually. It is improving quality-of-care by preventing missed opportunities to immunize (especially during acute-care visits) and by improving anticipatory guidance during well-child exams. My encounter documentation has improved tremendously without extra charting time being spent. But what is really surprising is the number of charting errors the computer is uncovering: children immunized before birth; a chart showing a 4yr old getting an adult Td; and many others." |
